Toaha Qureshi MBE’s enduring legacy reflected in heartfelt tribute from former LLM student

Islamabad: The enduring influence of Toaha Qureshi MBE, a respected community leader and mentor, has been reflected in a heartfelt message from his former Master of Laws (LLM) student, Muhammad Usman, who credited him with making a lasting difference in his life.

In a personal message expressing gratitude, respect and prayers, Usman said Qureshi continued to inspire his former students long after their academic journeys had ended, highlighting the lasting impact of a teacher whose guidance and kindness remained deeply valued.

Recalling his recent appearance on Ek Din Geo Ke Saath, a television programme on Geo News, Usman said watching Qureshi looking happy brought him considerable joy and revived cherished memories of his time as his student.

He also mentioned seeing Saad, whom he referred to as “Saad bhai”, during the programme and wondered whether he might still remember him.

The message went beyond a simple expression of admiration, offering a glimpse into the personal relationships that educators and mentors build with their students and the influence those relationships can have over the years.

“The true measure of you is the difference they make in others’ lives,” Usman wrote, reflecting on Qureshi’s continuing influence on those he had taught and guided.

He said he would always remain grateful for the difference Qureshi had made in his life, describing him as a source of inspiration whose kindness would never be forgotten.

Usman also offered prayers for Qureshi’s long life, good health and continued happiness, expressing the hope that he would keep guiding and helping others for many years to come.

“Thank you, Sir, for everything you have done for me. Your kindness will always stay with me,” he wrote.

The tribute underscores the significance of mentorship as a lasting legacy, demonstrating how the respect earned through teaching, personal encouragement and compassion can endure well beyond the classroom.

The message from a former student, for Professor Toaha Qureshi, serves as a personal testament to the enduring bonds formed through education and the lasting appreciation of those whose lives have been positively influenced by a teacher’s guidance.
