Islamabad: Prominent Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader, South Punjab General Secretary, and Member of the National Assembly Natasha Daultana said this week that the people of Gilgit-Baltistan have placed their confidence in the leadership of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Aseefa Bhutto Zardari by awarding the Pakistan Peoples Party a decisive majority in the recent elections.
In an interview, Natasha Daultana described the electoral victory as a strong endorsement of the PPP’s longstanding commitment to democratic values, public welfare, and inclusive development. She said the results demonstrate the electorate’s faith in the party’s vision and its continued efforts to address the needs and aspirations of the people.
Highlighting the significance of the outcome, Daultana remarked that voters had clearly rejected divisive politics and negative campaigning, instead choosing a path focused on stability, progress, and the welfare of the public. According to her, the election results reflect the people’s desire for constructive leadership and sustainable development.
She emphasized that while political disagreement is a natural and healthy part of democracy, personal attacks against political opponents have no place in democratic discourse and undermine the spirit of respectful political engagement.
Natasha Daultana maintained that attempts by certain political parties to cast doubt on the election results were merely efforts to divert attention from their own shortcomings and electoral setbacks.
She asserted that the public mandate had spoken decisively, delivering a clear and unequivocal verdict in favour of the Pakistan Peoples Party and its leadership.
