Islamabad: Emerging politician Umer Rehman Malik, son of the late Senator Rehman Malik, said this week that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was blessed with superhuman qualities to lead the nation.
In an interview with Covert, the PPP leader said Bilawal Bhutto’s struggle ousted former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Malik said when Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was threatened by Henry Kissinger, he made Pakistan an atomic force. “Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto gave the country missile technology. President Asif Ali Zardari gave projects such as Pak-Iran gas pipeline and China-Pakistan Economic Corridor,” he remarked.
He said Bilawal Bhutto exposed the true face of Imran Khan to the world before sending him packing. “On the very first day the PPP chief declared Imran Khan him a selected rather an elected PM and told the world that he was imposed on Pakistan through an electoral fraud,” Umer Rehman Malik recalled.
He said that Imran Khan started attacks on the constitution, democracy, media and 18th amendment from the very first day of his rule.
“On the intoxication of his power every citizen’s liberty was attacked, freedom of the press was attacked, independence of judiciary was attacked and parliament was attacked and did not tolerate criticism from any political opponent,” he contended.
Malik said that during the three years Imran Khan did nothing for the people but facilitated himself and his friends to rob the nation.
The PPP leader said Amnesty International called Imran Khan’s government the worst corrupt. “Imran Khan’s own people accuse him and the first lady of corruption, but Imran Khan is not responding,” he added.
About the next elections, Umer Rehman Malik the whole nation had seen that in all four provinces there is echo of the slogans of Jeay Bhutto (long live Bhutto). “The PPP will win the polls,” he predicted.
