EU Ambassador Riina Kionka, Commerce Minister discuss cooperation

Islamabad: European Union (EU) Ambassador Riina Kionka this week called on Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan and felicitated him for assuming the portfolio of the Ministry of Commerce.

Jam Kamal Khan appreciated the EU GSP Plus scheme which is beneficial for Pakistan’s exports to the blok.

During the meeting, minister Jam Kamal Khan reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to the implementation of conventions and assured Riina Kionka of full cooperation.

On her part, Ambassador Kionka highlighted the significance of adhering to international core conventions on human rights, environmental standards, labour rights, and good governance to maintain this status.
