Shehbaz Sharif declares Nawaz Sharif as PML-N candidate

Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) President Shehbaz Sharif reiterated this week Nawaz Sharif will be the party’s Prime Minister candidate.

The PML-N leader from the UK, Ahsan Dar, held a meeting with Shehbaz Sharif at the latter’s Model Town residence. On the occasion, Shehbaz Sharif stated, “The upcoming tenure will be of the PML-N. The return of Nawaz Sharif is itself a sign of the PML-N’s victory”.

The former prime minister commended Ahsan Dar for his services to the party. He underscored the importance of the overseas party workers. “The overseas PML-N workers are the assets of the party. We praise their services,” he added.

PML-N senior leader Ahsan Iqbal praised former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.

Speaking to media outside the judicial complex, the former planning minister said, ‘’Nawaz Sharif has said that the institutions should play their role to take the country out of the economic quagmire.’’

He went on to recount the development projects initiated during the tenure of Nawaz Sharif. ‘’Nawaz Sharif has completed the developmental projects in the country,’’ he added.

In line with holding the elections, Nawaz Sharif stated, ‘’The elections should be held immediately after the finalisation of the delimitation.’’

Earlier, Iqbal said that his party will start new journey to country’s progress under the leadership of former premier Nawaz Sharif.

Speaking to media in Narowal, Iqbal said: “The entire nation is welcoming Nawaz Sharif with great verve. When Nawaz Sharif was disqualified, the masses were compelled to remain hopeless.’’
