Karachi: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Faisal Karim Kundi said this week that some people feared elections.

He emphasized the PPP’s demand for elections to be conducted in accordance with the constitution.

Kundi remarked that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari envisions the expansion of institutions like the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) across the nation, aiming to provide advanced healthcare services to all.

The PPP’s manifesto rests on addressing the political, social, and economic woes of the people, he said.

As the elections approach, Kundi emphasized that voters will compare the performance of the PPP government with that of other parties.

He recalled that despite the catastrophic floods of 2010, inflation remained under control during the PPP’s tenure.

Kundi also highlighted the party’s initiatives, including the Benazir Income Support Program, aimed at supporting impoverished women, and the distribution of the National Finance Commission (NFC) awards to provinces during the PPP’s era.

He recalled that under the guidance of President Asif Ali Zardari, government employee salaries witnessed a substantial increase.

Kundi underlined that the PPP is committed to providing employment opportunities for the less fortunate.
