Quick visa service at British High Commission for Pakistanis
Islamabad: The British High Commission in Islamabad offers quick visa services to Pakistanis who want to travel to the UK for any reason.
According to Acting British High Commissioner to Pakistan Andrew Dalgleish, all eligible applicants can use the service.
When using the priority visa service, the procedure takes three to five days, but for those who choose the Super Priority Visa option, it only takes one business day. The applicant must fulfill all requirements in order to be accepted, and there is only a service fee.
“To use this service, applicants must pay a little bit more. For anyone who needs a quick decision for any reason, it is available,” the envoy said. Additionally, a superfast service is available for even faster processing.
The envoy mentioned the astonishingly high approval rate for study visas. Andrew Dalgleish continued, “After the Covid-19 pandemic, the tourism has also improved.”
In a pre-departure interview this month, Dr. Christian Turner, the former British High Commissioner, stated that the issuance rate of UK student visas from Pakistan was an astonishingly high 97 percent.
According to official records, there was an 18% increase in Pakistani nationals receiving visit visas to the UK in 2022.
According to immigration statistics provided by the UK Home Office, 2022 marked the second year in a row that a significant increase in the number of visas granted to Pakistani applicants.
Since there are many Pakistanis living in the UK, it is a popular destination for tourists, students, and businesspeople from Pakistan.
Pakistanis made up 1,587,819 people in England and Wales, or 2.7 percent of the population, as of the 2021 Census.
According to the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis of the Pakistani government, the UK is home to 1.26 million Pakistanis who are eligible for dual citizenship, or well over half of all Pakistanis living in Europe.
Every year, up to 250,000 Pakistanis travel to the UK for business, pleasure, or other reasons. The majority of the 270,000 British nationals who visit Pakistan each year do so to see family.
