Twitter pours lavish praise on late Senator Rehman Malik

Islamabad: Social media users across the globe particularly Pakistanis paid rich tributes to late Senator A Rehman Malik on his first birthday since his tragic demise on February 23 this year.
People from various walk of life commended his unmatched services for the country and nation and praised his generosity and humility.
Former Interior Minister Senator A Rehman Malik was born on December 12, 1951 in Sialkot and passed away in Islamabad on February 23 this year.
During his long civil services, he held important posts in the country and led the country’s apex investigative agency, the FIA. He served as the country’s longest-serving federal interior minister from 25 March 2008 to 16 March 2013 and as a Senator for three consecutive terms from 2009 to 2021.
In a tweet, Senator Malik’s son Ali Rehman Malik while remembering his father writes, “It would have been my father’s birthday today. The first one since he left us. We always used to celebrate together as mine is tomorrow. It’s a very difficult day.”
In response to the tweet, thousands of people expressed their love and respect for Senator A. Rehman Malik and prayed for him and expressed their condolences to his children and family.
Senator Malik’s other son Umar Rehman Malik tweeted “My father @SenRehmanMalik’s first birthday since he left us. It’s a very hard day. All are requested to pray for him.”
