PTI ideology crushes masses, PPP serves people: Natasha Daultana

Islamabad: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Natasha Daultana said this week that Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf (PTI) bears the ideology that crushes the masses and favours the elite as compared to the PPP which believes in serving the people.
In a statement, she urged the party workers to spread party’s message among the people in every nook and corner as the elections were approaching after electoral reforms.
“It’s time to cater to the people who have suffered most at the hands of the PTI,” she said.
Natasha Daultana said in 2009, the PPP launched the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) which facilitates the impoverished, particularly the women.
PPP’s Sindh government has also launched a union council based poverty reduction programme, which has so far pulled out hundreds of thousands of families from stark poverty, she maintained.
Natasha Daultana said this programme also lends mostly to women on an interest-free basis so that they can plan for their better future and live a stable and self-reliant life.
She also spoke about a province for the people of Southern Punjab and assured the people that PPP leadership would keep visiting them frequently so that they could meet the party workers.
Natasha Daultana said that under Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, the PPP carried out land reforms and snatched big lands from the feudal and distributed them among the poor peasants. “The PPP is the party of peasants, workers, students and masses,” she contended.
