Umar Rehman Malik felicitates Bilawal Bhutto of re-election as PPP Chairman

Islamabad: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Umar Rehman Malik this week felicitated Bilawal Bhutto Zardari of re-election as the PPP Chairman.

“Congratulations to Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on his re-election and to Humayun Khan, Nadeem Afzal Chan and Amna Piracha on being elected as Secretary General, Secretary Information, and Secretary Finance,” Umar Rehman Malik said in a statement.

He added: “My best wishes and support to the new team. The successful intra-party elections reflect PPP’s democratic spirit and enduring commitment to the legacy of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.”

Earlier, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari got elected as PPP Chairman in the intra-party elections held in Islamabad.

The intra-party elections were held on April 12, 2025 at the central secretariat. Humayun Khan got elected as party’s Secretary General and Nadeem Afzal Chan as information secretary. Amna Paracha got elected as party’s finance secretary.

All the office-bearers have been elected for a term of four years in accordance with the PPP’s constitution.
