Kazakhstan, Pakistan synchronize key industries

Islamabad: The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan Yerzhan Kistafin this week met with the Federal Minister of Commerce of Pakistan, Jam Kamal Khan and the Secretary of Ministry of Economic Affairs of Pakistan, Humair Karim.

During the talks, the parties expressed satisfaction with the positive dynamics that have emerged in bilateral cooperation in various fields, primarily in the field of trade.

The issues of preparation for the upcoming meetings of the Kazakh-Pakistani Intergovernmental Joint Commission, Joint Working Groups and a Business forum scheduled for early 2025 in Pakistan were also discussed in detail.

Special attention was paid to the development of regional interconnectedness, increasing cooperation in the transport and logistics sector, establishing direct banking communication channels and air services, including air freight, and synchronizing the activities of customs, veterinary and phytosanitary departments of the two countries.

Following the meetings, Jam Khan and Humair Karim expressed full support for the announced plans and intention to provide all possible assistance to strengthen and diversify cooperation across the entire spectrum of the Kazakh-Pakistani agenda.
