Ambassador Donald Blome meets Ishaq Dar, discusses bilateral relations

Islamabad: US Ambassador Donald Blome this visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he was welcomed by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.

This visit followed the passage of a resolution in the National Assembly against a recent resolution by the US House of Representatives during the National Economic Budget 2024-25 session.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Ambassador Blome and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar discussed various aspects of bilateral relations. The discussions included a review of the current situation and progress in mutual cooperation.

The spokesperson noted that both leaders explored avenues to enhance and strengthen bilateral ties.

The meeting also addressed concerns over the recent resolution passed by the US Congress, expressing reservations and seeking a constructive path forward in US-Pakistan relations.
