Chinese New Year celebrated in Lahore

Lahore: The Pakistan-China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) organized a vibrant event at Faletti’s Hotel in Lahore on Friday afternoon (Feb 2) to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
A delegation from Punjab University (PU), comprising teachers and students and led by the Director of the PU Confucius Institute, Professor Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, participated in the festivities.
Students from the PU Confucius Institute enriched the celebration with performances of Chinese cultural songs, adding a special charm to the occasion. Additionally, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman held a meeting with the PCJCCI President to discuss significant matters, underscoring the importance of educational and cultural exchange.
The Chinese Consul General interacted with faculty and students from Punjab University, highlighting the strong cultural ties between Pakistan and China.
The celebration, held at Faletti’s Hotel, Lahore, saw attendance from notable figures including Punjab Governor Muhammad Balighur Rehman, Chinese Consul General Zhao Shiren, and distinguished personalities from the political, social, and business sectors.
