TMUC School of creative arts hosts three-day annual thesis show 2026

Islamabad : The School of Creative Arts at The Millennium Universal College TMUC Islamabad Campus successfully organized its Annual Thesis Show 2026 over three consecutive days, featuring final thesis projects from University for the Creative Arts Fashion Textiles Level 6/Top-Up, UCA Fashion Image & Styling Level 4, and HN Fashion Textiles Level 5.

TMUC continues to advance transnational higher education in Pakistan through its exclusive partnership with University for the Creative Arts (UCA) UK, offering internationally recognized programs in Fashion Textiles, Film & Digital Arts, Fashion Image & Styling, and Fashion Business Management. Through industry-focused curricula and state-of-the-art creative studios, TMUC is empowering the next generation of creative professionals, entrepreneurs, and digital innovators in the region.

The showcase was supervised under the leadership of Head of Department for the School of Creative Arts Sumaira Sajjad alongside faculty members Shabahat Ali Khan, Mahnoor Arif, Usman Rehman, Aatika Khalid, Zarwa Mughal, Abdullah Sarim and Bisma Murtaza. The event highlighted creativity, innovation, craftsmanship, and socially relevant artistic expression through fashion, textiles, styling, and installation art.

The successful execution of the event would not have been possible without the visionary leadership and continuous support of Chairman & CEO of TMUC Dr. Faisal Mushtaq, along with Chief Development Officer Engr. Anna Faisal, Dean Academics and internationalisation Ms. Mariam Qasim, and Head of Institute Ms. Muneeze Muzaffar, whose commitment to creative education and industry engagement provided students with a professional platform to exhibit their work.

A total of 27 students showcased their thesis projects, each reflecting unique personal, cultural, and socially aware narratives.

Among the highlighted works were Fartashia Nasir’s “Still Here” based on resilience and recovery, Areeb Fatima Malkana’s “Ability in Disability” explored the importance of love, support and inclusion for differently-abled individuals, presenting herself as a living example of determination and empowerment, Noor Khizar’s nostalgic “My Mother’s 80s Shaadi,” and Areeba Faraz’s “Whispers of 1947,” a powerful tribute to migration, heritage, and memory inspired by her grandmother’s migration from India to Pakistan and historical letters connected to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Iqbal.

Other notable projects included Nashmiya Fayyaz’s “Behind the Mask,” Ramsha Niazi’s “Social Media Impact on Gen X,” Hamna Fatima Malik’s “The Hoods of Five,” Nabiha Ahsan’s “Blooming Silence,” Wareesha Amir’s “Edible Deception,” Zahra’s sustainable textile project “Sunwoven,” Noor Fatima’s “Embroidered Youth,” Bakhtawar Samad’s “Living Within the Unseen,” inspired by hidden emotional struggles and resilience, Rania Haris’s “The True Cost,” Amber Khan’s “Unheard Threads,” Zoya Khan’s “Silent Struggle of Men,” Peham Murtaza’s “Growing Up Too Fast,” Rameen Ali’s “Microbiology,” Amin Sajid’s “Saanjh Ke Saye,” Wania Ahmad’s “Basant,” Mikail Salik’s “Celestial,” Aliza Qasim’s “Elf Sisters Journey of Loss and Reunion,” Neha Adil’s “Transformation of a Woman through Emotional and Stylistic Phases,” and Rameen Rashid’s “The Mirror of Erised.” Zain Ahmad Khan’s “The novel plot revolved around a strong, free lady in an elitist personal environment.“

The exhibition received an overwhelming response from industry professionals, academia, media representatives, alumni, parents, and students, making it one of the most vibrant and well-attended showcases organized by the department.

The thesis show commenced with an opening ceremony graced by renowned stylist Tariq Amin and Mrs. Fayza Amin. Distinguished guests including Fahad Saif, CEO and Founder of Mohtaram, Saud Bangash from the Pakistan Business Council, and contemporary calligraphy artist Mahjabeen Atif appreciated the originality and professional execution of the students’ work.

The display was further honoured by the presence of Ms. Farrah Mehmood Rana, Pride of Performance recipient, miniature artist and Associate Professor at COMSATS University Islamabad, who praised the dedication and artistic vision demonstrated throughout the showcase.

The event concluded on a memorable note with the visit of celebrated Pakistani cricketer Shadab Khan, who visited alongside his wife, daughter of former Pakistani cricketer Saqlain Mushtaq, to appreciate the students’ work and encourage emerging creative talent.

The event successfully reinforced TMUC School of Creative Arts’ commitment towards academic excellence, industry integration, artistic innovation, and creating meaningful opportunities for emerging creative professionals in Pakistan.
