Umar Rehman Malik celebrates Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s birthday

Islamabad: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Umar Rehman Malik this week celebrated the birthday of PPP founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto – a former Prime Minister.

“Happy birthday to the great charismatic Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto – a brilliant diplomat, defence strategist, architect of the country’s nuclear program, and leader of world leaders,” he said in a statement.

Umar Rehman Malik said Shaheed Bhutto had a vision of a developed and progressive Pakistan, and for which he worked day and night to make the country prominent and important among the nations of the world.

“His services to the nation on all fronts including defense, development, health, education, political, diplomatic, industrialization, strengthening and empowering the poor and farmers, workers and labourers will always be written in golden words in the history of Pakistan,” he mentioned.

Umar Rehman Malik said the legacy of Shaheed Zulfiqar A. Bhutto is being carried forward by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari with the same vision and style who made history at the international level as Foreign Minister and by progressive initiatives in Sindh.

“The nation now wants him as the Prime Minister to raise the name of Pakistan on the global horizon as a peaceful, progressive, and prosperous country as per the vision of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto,” Umar Rehman Malik said.

The 92nd birthday of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was celebrated on January 5. PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, while paying tribute to his grandfather, said the party leadership and workers should follow Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto’s struggle, ideology, dream and mission.

Bilawal said that his objective was not only to get people to stick strongly to his agenda but also to teach people about their mission dedication, political vision, wisdom and courage.

He added that Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had an unmatched political vision with which he created a unanimous constitution, a rich mind and unprecedented democracy in his blood.
