Islamabad: A delegation from China’s Yuzhonghe (Hubei) Supply Chain Co., Ltd. has held talks with Pakistani business representatives on potential cooperation in pharmaceuticals, healthcare products, medical technology and supply chain services.
The delegation, led by company chief executive Vince Ma, visited the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry this week to identify potential local partners, according to a report by the Associated Press of Pakistan.
Ma said the company was interested in exploring pharmaceutical manufacturing, healthcare products, integrated supply chain services, technology transfer and possible joint ventures in Pakistan.
He described Pakistan as a market with growth potential but announced no investment value, agreement, project or implementation timetable.
ICCI President Sardar Tahir Mehmood said the chamber would help the delegation connect with local companies and provide support to Chinese businesses seeking partners in Pakistan.
He said Islamabad and surrounding areas offered opportunities for cooperation in pharmaceutical manufacturing, healthcare services and technology partnerships.
ICCI Senior Vice President Tahir Ayub said Chinese expertise in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and supply chain management could complement Pakistan’s market and industrial capabilities.
