PCFA, CSC celebrate 74th Chinese National Day at University of Peshawar

Peshawar: Pakistan China Friendship Association (PCFA) and China Study Centre (CSC) this week celebrated the 74th National Day of China at the University of Peshawar with a pledge to cement the Pakistan-China friendship further.
The event served as a platform to celebrate China’s achievements, discuss opportunities for collaboration, and underscore the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China, particularly in challenging times.
In his speech on the occasion, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Minister of Information Technology (IT) Dr Najeeb Ullah said that Pakistan was focusing on strengthening cooperation with China in various key sectors.
Dr Najeeb Ullah, who is also responsible for Science and Technology, sports, and Youth Affairs, expressed gratitude to the PCFA and CSC for arranging the event, highlighting its significance in bringing the two countries closer together.
He extended congratulations to the Chinese people on their national day and urged students to explore and understand Chinese culture, history, and civilization. He emphasized the need for Pakistan to learn from China’s expertise in various fields.
The Minister highlighted several areas where Pakistan can make improvements, particularly in science and technology. He emphasized the importance of factors such as Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and the presence of a skilled workforce with access to higher education in driving economic growth.
He noted that China’s strategic use of FDI has contributed significantly to its global leadership in various industries.
Dr Najeeb Ullah announced that Pakistan was working to initiate bankable feasibility studies in four thematic areas: Agriculture, Mines, Information Technology, and Energy, in collaboration with the Chinese Government.
