Chinese manufacturer Kove begins its European expansion in Italy
Rome: Chinese bike brand Kove has revealed its intentions to expand into the international market in recent months. Just four months after its debut at EICMA in 2022, Kove has demonstrated that it has the ability to compete with the most high-profile brands in the world of motorsport. In January 2023, the brand completed its first ever Dakar race and in the future hopes to achieve success in the World SSP 300.
Beyond motorsport, Kove has made progress in the bike industry. Outside of China, the brand is already available in other markets in Asia, such as the Philippines, where the Kove 400RR has already been introduced. Now, the Chinese brand has turned its focus to the European market, specifically in Italy. According to Moto, it highlights the brand’s entry into the Italian country.
As you would expect, a fledgling brand like Kove, has partnered with an Italian company, Pelpi International, which has been responsible for distributing brands like FB Mondial, KL, and Over Bikes in the past, and now takes on the role of exclusive distributor for Kove Motorcycles in Italy.
Apart from this information, no specifications have been revealed regarding the models that will be available in Italy. However, it is likely that the models on display at EICMA 2022 will be the first to hit the market. The Kove 400RR looks to be a good contender and an interesting alternative to the mid-range sporty range offered by QJ Motor and CFMOTO, or even, the Japanese manufacturers.
Besides the sport models, Kove has a naked model, the Cobra 321R and the 125. We couldn’t forget the Adventure model, the 800X and the Rally 450 that served as a base for the race models for the Dakar. All these bikes were revealed at the 2022 EICMA, where Motorcycling was present in Milan, and from what was revealed the models seemed to be prepared for the European market
