Embassy of Denmark launches “Sustainability Platform” in Pakistan with Maersk and Novo Nordisk
Islamabad: The Embassy of Denmark with the two largest Danish companies; Maersk and Novo Nordisk this week jointly launched a “Sustainability Platform” in Pakistan to enhance the capacity, engagement &awareness within the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Pakistan.
Working together with key stakeholders, such as authorities, civil society, investors, media & industry organisations, the “Sustainability Platform” aims to create a cooperative forum in order to raise public awareness as well as inspire and promote green growth in Pakistan
The “Sustainability Platform” stands committed to work in diverse areas of the SDG-targets, such as #GenderEquality, #GreenTransition, better health & education as well as fostering inclusivity to improve life for future generations!
Pakistan affirmed its commitment to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development by adopting the SDGs as its own national development agenda through a unanimous National Assembly Resolution in 2016. In addition, Danish companies are leading the transformation in order to implement strategies and business models compliant with ambitious sustainability targets.
