European champions Italy launch their Fan Token

Newswire

Rome: AFan Token is set to be introduced for one of the best national teams in the world. Italy, the three-time world champions and the reigning European Championship holders, have announced that they’ll launch their official Fan Token ($ITA) this week, through Socios.com, the leading platform for sports industry blockchain solutions.

Italy, currently preparing for their Qatar World Cup playoff, will offer their fans the chance to get even closer to one of the most talented generations in Italian football, one which won Euro 2020 at Wembley.

Two polls will soon be launched through Socios.com for the owners of these $ITA Fan Tokens to participate in an active way during these playoffs, which starts with a clash against North Macedonia in Palermo on March 24. Supporters will be able to vote for the motivational message that’ll appear in the dressing room and for the song that’ll sound in the Stadio Renzo Barbera whenever any Italian goals are scored.

Some 150,000 Fan Tokens $ITA will be put on sale for two euros each through a Fan Token Offering (FTO®) that’ll start on Monday and last three days with three different phases, or until they run out. These are the three phases.

Fan Tokens are collectible digital assets with which sports fans can access a new digital service offered by their favourite teams through the Socios.com app. Benefits include exclusive discounts and promotions, the ability to participate in certain team decisions by voting through surveys and the option to win team-related prizes and rewards such as official signed merchandise, free tickets or VIP experiences.

In 2021, the 70-plus sports teams around the world that launched Fan Tokens on Socios.com held more than 300 surveys, through which their supporters could vote for kit designs, new signing numbers, celebratory songs and more.

Furthermore, more than 5,000 fans received prizes linked to their team, from signed jerseys to unique experiences such as playing a match in their dream stadium or being the official team speaker at an official match.
