Ambassador Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri attends Pakistan-Indonesia Business Council Board meeting

Islamabad: Pakistani Ambassador to Indonesia Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri this week attended Pakistan-Indonesia Business Council Board meeting.

The Ambassador appreciated the revival of this important forum to further strengthen economic ties between the two brotherly nations.

He highlighted complementarities in the textile sectors of both countries and emphasized the need to expand cooperation in IT, defense, health, sports goods, food processing, tourism, and education.

Ambassador Chaudhri underlined Pakistan’s immense potential for Indonesian investors, noting that Pakistan hosts the 2nd largest salt reserves, ranks 7th in global meat production, produces 20,000 IT graduates annually, and is home to a dynamic 240 million population—one of the largest English-speaking and youth-driven markets in the world.

In a post on X later, the envoy said: Together, Pakistan and Indonesia can unlock new opportunities for trade, investment, and sustainable growth.”

He added: Pleased to meet the Pakistan-Indonesia Business Council at @Kadin_Indonesia today. Highlighted complementarities in Pakistan and Indonesia economies & the need to expand cooperation particularly in IT, health, defense, tourism, education, & food processing for stronger ties between two nations.”
