
Aseefa Bhutto distributes house ownership documents

Islamabad: First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari this week distributed ownership documents of houses among flood-hit women under the Sindh People’s Housing Project at Latif Hall in Peoples University of Medical and Health Sciences in Nawab Shah.
She said at the ceremony that the initiative was not just about providing a house, but also about empowering women with rights, dignity and security.
She gave credit to Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for his efforts and vision for making this possible and noted that no other province or party had taken such a significant step.
She highlighted that the initiative fulfilled the promise made by Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto to provide land, shelter and dignity to every individual.
She congratulated those who received property documents, expressing hope that this move would secure future of current and future generations.
She said the initiative aimed to empower women by providing them with land ownership rights, which would have a significant impact on their social and economic status.
A large number of houses are being built in flood-hit villages to accommodate the families rendered shelterless during unprecedented rains and floods in 2022.
