Umar Rehman Malik pays rich tribute to Shaheed Shahnawaz Bhutto

Islamabad: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Umar Rehman Malik this week paid rich tribute to Shaheed Shahnawaz Bhutto, the son of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

“Remembering Shaheed Shahnawaz Bhutto, a life taken too soon, shaped by the weight of history and the price of conviction. The Bhutto family bore the burden of sacrifice: martyrdoms, prisons, exile, and trial. Yet the thread that bound them to the people never frayed. Their story is woven into the democratic struggle, not through slogans, but through blood, resilience, and service. That commitment continues today through Bilawal Bhutto Zardari,” the PPP leader said.

Umar Rehman Malik said Shahnawaz Bhutto travelled worldwide and met many international leaders to save life of his father but unfortunately his worldwide campaign could not save life of his father.

He said that People of Pakistan and workers of PPP would always remember the struggle of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Benazir Bhutto and Shahnawaz Bhutto for the democratic rights of the people of Pakistan.

Shahnawaz Bhutto was youngest son of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and was poisoned to death by his Afghan wife on July 18 1985 in France.
