High Commissioner Mohammad Faisal hails dedication of Pakistan society, for enhancing UK-Pakistan ties

London: The High Commissioner of Pakistan to the UK, Dr. Mohammad Faisal this week lauded the unwavering dedication of Pakistan Society for enhancing the relationship between Pakistan and the UK.
The envoy who is also the Honorary President of Pakistan Society, made the remarks at the 69th Annual Dinner of Pakistan Society at London. The gathering also commemorated the 75th anniversary of the Commonwealth.
The Rt. Hon. Baroness Scotland of Asthal KC, Secretary General of the Commonwealth; Chairman, Executive Members, office bearers of Pakistan Society and a large number of people attended the event.
Dr. Mohammad Faisal in his address stated that in the wake of unprecedented international challenges – including climate change, economic uncertainties and global health crises there was a need to further strengthen cooperation for the benefit of the people of both countries.
While highlighting other areas of mutual interest, the High Commissioner stated that the youth of both countries represent a promising future. “By investing in education, promoting cultural exchanges and supporting community initiatives, we can empower the next generation to build a better world,” he said.
Chairman Pakistan Society, Sir William Blackburne expressed gratitude to the High Commissioner and Pakistan High Commission for continued support and for maintaining a strong liaison between Pakistan and UK.
On the occasion, the Pakistan Society Jinnah Medal was also conferred upon Rt. Hon. Sir Sajid Javed, Former Chancellor of the Exchequer & Secretary of State for Health and Social Care by the High Commissioner.
