China visit highly successful, high-powered Chinese delegation to visit Pakistan soon: Shehbaz Sharif

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said this week that his recent five-day visit to China was highly successful, with a high-powered Chinese delegation expected to visit Pakistan soon.

Chairing the federal cabinet meeting here, the Prime Minister emphasized that the collective efforts of his team, including federal ministers and secretaries, were instrumental in making the visit a success and in strengthening Pakistan-China bilateral relations.

He acknowledged that despite security concerns raised during engagements with Chinese leaders and the business community, the visit concluded positively.

“I can unequivocally say that the visit ended on a positive note. During my conversation with the Chinese ambassador at the banquet hosted by the Communist Party Secretary in Shanxi province, I felt a strong sense that the visit was indeed very successful,” Prime Minister Sharif told the cabinet members.

The Prime Minister extended his gratitude to his cabinet members, particularly Ishaq Dar, Ahsan Iqbal, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Dr Musaddik Malik, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, and the relevant federal secretaries for their concerted efforts, which contributed to the success of the visit.

He expressed the optimism that these collective efforts would facilitate the swift and successful implementation of the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
