PPP, the only federal party in Pakistan: Umar Rehman Malik

Islamabad: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Umar Rehman Malik said this week that PPP was the only federal party in the country.
The increase in the PPP’s vote bank, and its presence in all the provinces of the country is a clear indication of the PPP being the only truly national party in the country,” he posted on X.
The PPP leader further said that the message of unity, hope and reconciliation that Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari put forward during the campaign had clearly reached the hearts of people across each corner of the country.
According to a report published by the Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN) major political parties including the PPP and the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) witnessed an increase in their vote bank in the 2024 general elections,
On February 8, Pakistan conducted its 10th general elections after over five years which saw about 60 million citizens exercising their right to vote to elect their representatives in the 265 National Assembly and 590 provincial assembly constituencies.
According to FAFEN, the PPP and the PML- PPP increased their vote banks.
“PPPP’s share increased from 6.9 million in 2018 to 7.6 million in 2024,” said the report.
