NA 127 constituency issues real: Umar Rehman Malik

Islamabad: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Umar Rehman Malik said this week that the issues of the people living in the NA 127 constituency were real.
“Had insightful conversation with the residents of #NA127 Lahore today. Their problems are real and serious, the solution of which should have been the top priority of their representatives. Assured them that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is bringing real change to them, their lives and the area that has been neglected for decades,” he posted on X.
He added: “They deserve a better life, clean water to drink, clean air to breathe, clean streets to walk on, schools where their children can study and hospitals where they can get free treatment. The lack of sewage system in the area is causing serious health problems.”
Separately, Umar Rehman Malik’s brother Ali Rehman Malik said: “I have not been able to shake off the sadness from seeing the people living in such destitution. Each human life is sacred. Each human life is equal, regardless of a geographical lottery or the amount of money one has in the bank.”
He added: “Heartbreaking to see the situation on the ground in NA-127 and the people’s feeling of helplessness as a result of the past. Open sewage water collected in pools which then seeps into the drinking water. Lack of access to clean drinking water, gas and electricity, mountains of waste and many related health issues. I was shocked to see the level of neglect. The people have the most simplest of needs which have not been met for years. They are asking for a much needed change and a fresh start. They are looking towards Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.”
Ali Rehman Malik said: “It’s heartbreaking that people no different than you or me are having to want for the basic necessities of life. All they want is a small ray of hope, that doesn’t get snatched away. And someone, somewhere who truly cares. They are tired of lip service. Tired of empty promises. Tired of despair.”
