Shehbaz Sharif vows to control ballooning inflation

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif said this week that his party will take all-out steps in a bid to control ballooning inflation.

The former prime minister held a meeting with the party leaders separately. Prominent among those who met Shehbaz Sharif were Khawaja Saad Rafique, Khawaja Salman Rafique, Mian Javed Latif, Atta Manika, Afzal Khokhar, Mohsin Ranjha, Zulfiqar Bhatti, Sardar Irfan Dogar,Malik Saif ul Malook Khokhar, Chaudhry Tufail Jutt, and Ashraf Jutt.

On this occasion, matters pertaining to the party and the upcoming elections were discussed.

Expressing his thoughts, Shehbaz Sharif said, ”We will take revolutionary steps to address the masses’ problems.”

”Only Nawaz Sharif had fulfilled the promises with the masses. With the exception of the PML-N, all the political parties had decieved the masses,” Shehbaz Sharif said.

He expressed his resolve to restore the confidence of the masses and investors. ”We will come up with a balanced economic policy,” he added.

Few days back, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif directed the party leadership to unveil the economic agenda with the masses.

The PML-N leaders called on the former prime minister in Lahore. On this occasion, Shehbaz Sharif said, “It will take time to steer the country in the right direction.”

“We have completed the collective planning to address the masses’ problems,” he said.

During the meeting, the PML-N leadership mulled over matters pertaining to the party’s future political activities.

The PML-N leaders had also apprised Shehbaz Sharif of the ongoing electoral activities in their respective constituencies.

Shehbaz Sharif and the party leaders had also exchanged views on the country’s political situation and preferences in connection with the forthcoming elections.

Prominent among those who attended the meeting were Abdul Rehman, Rana Munawar Ghous, Amanatullah Shadi Khel, and Azam Nazir Tarar.
