PPP manifesto solution to all problems: Bilawal Bhutto
Liaquat Ali
Islamabad: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari this week said that his party’s manifesto is the solution to all the problems.
Addressing a public gathering in Chitral, the former foreign minister maintained that the country was witnessing severe economic hardships. “Whenever we (PPP) had the opportunity, we delivered for the masses. I want to complete the mission of my leadership. But I will need your support in this regard,’’ he added.
He said: “It seems as if the country will witness a further increase in hardships. I am feeling quite sad.’’
Schooling the opponents, Bilawal said: “They want to indulge in the vendetta. The masses have to bear their burden.”
He underscored the potential in the country, saying, ‘’There is plenty of potential in the country.’’
He called on the voters to rally behind his party in the general elections. “Now a days, the masses are facing severe economic hardships. Inflation has reached a record level. The country is witnessing unemployment and poverty,” he said.
He took a jibe at the government, saying, “The rulers of Islamabad are having no concern with the masses. They are unaware of the difficulties the masses are facing.”
Bilawal stressed the need for indulging in politics with a “renewed vision.”
He recalled the Pakistan Democratic Movement’s (PDM) tenure, saying, “We had backed the PDM in a bid to steer the country out of the economic crisis. We were of the view that our allies want to see the supremacy of the vote and parliament.’’
“We had that political thinking that the PDM-led government would uplift democracy,” he remarked.
