Ambassador Tapas Adhikari visits Haripur Chamber of Commerce

Islamabad: The Ambassador of Nepal to Pakistan, Tapas Adhikari, visited the Haripur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI) in Haripur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa this week and met Muhammad Tayyab Khan Swati, the President and other office bearers of the HCCI.
On the occasion, the Nepali envoy also had a long interactive discussion with the office bearers which was focused on bilateral and regional economic cooperation to expand economic opportunities in Nepal and Pakistan.
Ambassador Adhikari requested the Chamber officials to participate in the forthcoming Nepal Expo in Kathmandu scheduled to be held in March 2024 in order to explore abundant business opportunities in Nepal with their products and for business networking.
The envoy shared the Government of Nepal’s policy on foreign direct investment and other facilities available for business in Nepal.
While welcoming the Nepali Ambassador Mr. Swati and other members of the Chamber shared the information on Haripur and its economic contribution in Pakistan.
Ambassador also visited Froebel’s House School and College, Haripur and interacted with the teachers and students.
The envoy also visited Hattar Industrial Zone and observed the production facilities of few industrial units.With more than 400 manufacturing units, Hattar Industrial Zone is the biggest industrial zone in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan.
