Malaika Raza welcomes Karachi by-elections results, felicitates Murtza Wahab

Islamabad: Central Secretary for Human Rights of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Malaika Raza this week welcomed results of Karachi by-elections for Local Governments as Murtza Wahab retained the Karachi Mayor’s slot.
“Heartfelt congratulations to @murtazawahab1for his resounding triumph in Karachi election. He exemplifies the true essence of the #PPP, being a dynamic, well-educated, and humble person who is dedicated to the progress and betterment of people,” he posted on X.
She added: “Thank you, #Karachi, for placing your trust in a dedicated Jiyala and electing him. #PPP is committed to working tirelessly for your improvement and well-being.”
Earlier, Murtaza Wahab retained his Mayor’s post after PPP led in Local Bodies (LB) by-elections.
According to the unofficial results, Murtaza Wahab got victorious in UC-13 Saddar Town by securing 3,976 votes while his opponent a joint candidate of PTI and JI secured 1,566 votes.
Mayor Murtaza Wahab later said that the credit for the victory goes to PPP leadership and workers.
He maintained that it’s just the first step, PPP will become victorious in general elections and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will become the next Prime Minister.
