ECB reveals England cricket team’s brand new ODI kit

With the Indian Premier League entertaining the crowd worldwide through its breathtaking cricketing action, international cricket has almost come to a halt. Amid the stoppage, the England and Wales Cricket Board unveiled their new ODI kit which will be worn by all England teams in 2023.
ECB shared the photographs of star fast bowlers Mark Wood and Issy Wong donning the jersey on Wednesday, April 12. England men’s team will be seen in action wearing the new jersey against New Zealand in the four-match ODI series in September.
On the other hand, England women’s team will be seen flaunting the jersey against Australia in July 2023. England men’s team is the current World Champions in ODI cricket and will be seen defending their title in the ODI World Cup scheduled to take place in India in October-November.
Before that they have another herculean task of regaining the Ashes on their home soil in June- July. England will start their home summer with a one-off four-day Test against Ireland scheduled to begin from June 1 at Lord’s.
The action will then move to the oldest rivalry in the history of cricket as the Three Lions will lock horns with Australia to regain the urn from June 16. The upcoming Ashes is expected to be a mouth-watering clash as both sides have been in top form lately.
Australia are currently the no. one ranked team in Test cricket and will be playing the World Test Championship final against India from June 7 at The Oval. On the other hand, England are on a roll under the new leadership of captain Ben Stokes and coach Brendon McCullum as they have revolutionised Test cricket with their aggressive intent widely known as the ‘Bazball’ style.
Under Stokes’ leadership, England have won ten out of their thirteen Tests and lost just three matches. With both teams at the top of their game currently, the preparation for the upcoming series has already begun as Stokes has revealed that he has requested the curators to prepare fast and flat tracks for the entire series.
