All Pakistanis stand by Kashmiris: Umar Rehman Malik

Islamabad: Prominent financial expert Umar Rehman Malik said this week that all Pakistanis stand by the Kashmiris.

“On #kashmirSolidarityDay, we stand by the oppressed people of #Kashmir who’re facing unprecedented atrocities. International community, especially @UN, must do more,” he tweeted.

Umar Rehman Malik, the son of former Interior Minister Rehman Malik, said Pakistan had a principled stance on the Kashmir issue.

Senator Rehman Malik was known for being a strong advocate of the Kashmiris and he contributed to the cause until his untimely death.

In a message before his death, Senator Rehman Malik had said that Kashmiris were the most oppressed and helpless nation in the world.

The former lawmaker said that people needed to have the same spirit and strength which was expressed by tribal warriors who got librated Kashmir with their bravery and Jazeba-e-Emani (faith).

“My heart bleeds when I see endless crime being committed against Kashmiris by Indian army under Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he had said.

The people and Government of Pakistan observe the ‘Kashmir Solidarity Day,’ to express solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiri people in their just and legitimate struggle for the realization of their inalienable right to self-determination.

In this context, a special ‘Solidarity Day Walk’ was held in Islamabad along the Constitution Avenue starting from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs upto the Parliament Building in Islamabad.

The President, Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister, in their special messages on the occasion, renewed Pakistan’s unwavering moral, diplomatic and political support to the Kashmir Cause and called for resolution of the Kashmir Dispute according to the wishes of the Kashmiri people in a UN supervised plebiscite according to the UNSC Resolutions.
