Canberra: Pakistani High Commissioner to Australia Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri this week held a meeting with Ramil Gurbanov, Charge d’Affaires, Embassy of Azerbaijan in Canberra.

“Glad to receive my friend Ramil Gurbanov, Charge d’Affaires, Embassy of Azerbaijan in Canberra. Pakistan and Azerbaijan enjoy exceptional warmth and complete trust in their brotherly relations,” he tweeted after the cordial meeting.

Bilateral Relations of Azerbaijan and Pakistan are based on Perceptive Process and Cognitive Functions and Perceptive linkages between both countries that are enhancing and consolidating contact between Baku and Islamabad.

The two nations are considered “strategic partners” and Azerbaijan Pakistan security cooperation enhancing in all field of the military to military relations and also among security agencies.

Modern relations between the two states were established when the Republic of Azerbaijan became independent following the collapse of the USSR – on June 9, 1992.

Pakistan was the second country to recognize Azerbaijan – on December 12, 1991, after Turkey. Trade and cooperation have steadily grown between the two nations, with several summits being held on how to improve trade between the two nations.
