Top Karachi universities to get Chinese hybrid buses

Karachi: Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Haider Zaidi said this week that Port Qasim will gift Chinese hybrid buses to the University of Karachi, Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS), Sindh Medical College (SMC) and NED University.
Speaking to journalists here, he remarked that the government wanted to facilitate the top educational institutions. “Port Qasim will provide the Chinese hybrid buses to the universities,” he added.
Zaidi mentioned that Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI)-led government will launch a new bus service in Karachi to facilitate people. The buses are being purchased from China.
“The federal government will run a bus service between Port Qasim and the Karachi Port Trust (KPT) to facilitate the employees and people,” he elaborated.
Zaidi said the government will purchase more than 40 new buses from China. The minister announced that the federal government had decided to construct a separate bridge for heavy traffic in the metropolis in order to avoid accidents.
