Pakistan-China ties will continue to grow: Ambassador Nong Rong

Peshawar, April 20: China-Pakistan ties will continue to grow in the years to come as the two countries celebrate 70 years of diplomatic ties, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong said this week.

Speaking to journalists here after visiting the ‘China Window’ office, the envoy said the Chinese Cultural and Information Center based in Peshawar was playing an important role in introducing Chinese culture in the Khyber Pakhtunkhaw province.
“It is hoped that the China Window will continue to play its role in bringing the people of the two countries and people of different schools of thought closer together,” he said.

Ambassador Rong added: “We are grateful to China Window for holding a special function at China Window on the occasion of completion of 70 years of Pak-China diplomatic relations.”
The Chinese envoy was accompanied by Chief Executive Officer of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Board of Investment Hassan Dawood Butt, Administrator of China Wind Amjad Aziz Malik and other personalities on the occasion.

Ambassador Nong Rong visited various sections of China Window and appreciated the efforts of the administration.
A documentary film was screened in which he took keen interest. He cut a cake to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Pak-China diplomatic relations.
Imtiaz Ahmad Ali from China Window gifted a traditional turban to the Chinese Ambassador.

Amjad Saleem Butt presented a gift of Markhor from Junaid Khan, Managing Director of Khyber Pakhtunkhaw Tourism Corporation while Amjad Aziz Malik presented a special souvenir to the Chinese Ambassador.
The Chinese Ambassador inaugurated the website, wrote ten letters on the Pak-China Friendship Wall and recorded his impressions in the guest book.
