War and bullets not solution to any problem Senator Rehman Malik

Islamabad: Former Interior Minister and Chairman and Institute of Research and Reforms (IRR) said this week that war and bullets are not the solution to any problem.

On the occasion of nineteenth anniversary of 9/11, he said, 20 years ago, world was shocked when a major incident took place destroying World Trade Center and killing more than 3,000 innocent people.

He said that Pakistan had made the most sacrifices in this war against terrorism which spanned over 20 years in which more than 80,000 Pakistanis both troops and civilians were martyred.
He said that neither Afghanistan nor Pakistan was involved in the 9/11 attacks, yet the two countries suffered the most.

Rehman Malik said that the world needs to learn many lessons from this 20-year war that bullet is not the solution to any problem. He questioned why was Al-Qaeda created and who created it? He stressed that world needs to live with peace and not perpetual wars like Iraq, Libya, Egypt, Syria, Arab spring and Afghanistan.

Senator A Rehman Malik said “I appeal to US President Joe Biden to set up USA commission to revisit these wars and move USA and world towards peace and interfaith harmony free of wars”. He urged that USA must take the lead for peace as he is confident that President Joe Biden will achieve it being a kind person pushing the world towards the peace.

He expressed that Pakistan fought this war and he as then Interior Minister had seen terrible scenes of terrorism and he in a personal briefing in the White House had expressed before President Bush andJoe Biden that there is no common strategy to fight a common enemy which resulted to this present situation.
